Notes: I don't know if any of you watched Governor Kemp's address last night. Your parents probably talked to you about it. My takeaway was that schools will be closed at least until April 6th. I have not heard from Dr. Flugum or Superintendent Ragsdale, though, so nothing is official. Research papers are due on April 1st. When I get word about Spring Break, I will pass that on to you. After the research paper, we will begin Frankenstein.
Yesterday, you reviewed your outline & working thesis, thinking through the grand design of your paper. Now, it's time to move on to more concrete work.
Tasks: Follow the research paper schedule & do some work on it each day to build towards a solid final product.
Office Hours: 10:30-12:00. I will schedule Zoom class meetings tomorrow for questions about the paper. The links will be in the Remind. These meetings are optional.

Tasks: Follow the research paper schedule & do some work on it each day to build towards a solid final product.
- Schedule:
- Tue: Gather your quotations & examples from your primary works-- what aspects of the primary works are you going to focus on, then think about the commentary that will accompany those quotations... You can use this graphic organizer
- Wed: Gather your quotations & examples from your research-- decide where biographical information will go in your paper, decide which parts of your articles need to go into your paper, decide what you will quote directly & what you will paraphrase...
- Thu: Arrange your examples-- some students put their examples on notecards & rearrange them on a table until they get the progression of ideas; some students type out their examples & move them around in their document... just find a way to arrange your examples in a logical order
- Fri: Draft focusing on your introduction-- ask yourself how you are going to take your readers off of the street & into your subject...Then begin you body paragraphs
- Sat: Finish your draft
- Sun: Ignore your draft & do something else
- Mon: Share your paper with a peer; read someone else's paper
- Tue: Using the feedback reread, revise, edit, polish...
